The goal of the Bachelor of Laws program is:
• To acquire extensive theoretical knowledge of the basic features of the national legal system, the essence of law, principles and institutions, historical sources of Georgian law, as well as in-depth knowledge in the field of private, criminal and public law;
• To develop the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, including making and substantiating decisions on legal issues, as well as working on legal documents;
• To develop the ability to solve a legal problem in the field of private, criminal and public law based on a multifaceted vision and analysis, ability to develop a thesis, justify the chosen approach and draw the appropriate conclusion;
• To develop the ability to find necessary information in native and / or foreign languages, including legislative changes, case law, science news, and the ability to communicate verbal and in writing on information obtained on the basis of up-to-date knowledge, using legal terminology;
• To develop the ability to act in practice accordance with the norms of professional ethics and practice of justice, human rights, social and democratic values.
Prerequisite for admission to the program:
A citizen of Georgia with a National Certificate certifying completion of general education, or an equivalent document may enroll in the Bachelor's Law Degree program, based on the results of the Unified National Examinations.
Admission/enrollment of students in the Bachelor of Law program without the Unified National Examinations is carried out in accordance with the current legislation.
Enrollment in the Bachelor of Law program through the “mobility program” is possible twice a year within the timeframe set by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and in accordance with the mandatory regulations of the University.
Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in law, or enrollment by transfer from a recognized higher education institution abroad, is permitted on the basis of a decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

Knowledge and understanding
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Laws program Student:
(A) describes:
• The essence of law, signs of law, functions of law, fundamental principles of law and their importance for the formation of the legal system, methods and stages of legal regulation, methods of definition, types of legal norm, basic features of the Georgian legal system, principles and institutions, elements of legal relations and legal norms. Stages, the importance of fundamental principles of law for the formation of the legal system, as well as historical sources of Georgian law, fields and institutions of old Georgian law, as well as fundamental principles of old Georgian law and trends in legal development;
• Issues of separation of state and local self-government, including the separation and interrelation of Georgian state government and local self-government, basic human rights and freedoms, basic principles of international public law, institutions of international public law, essence and principles of administrative law, constitutional foundations of public government, principles of public governance , The forms of organizational arrangement of public administration, the types of administrative proceedings and the forms of activity of administrative bodies, as well as the basic principles, stages of administrative proceedings and the peculiarities of the consideration of administrative cases in court;
• The aims, objectives, sources of civil law, the most important civil categories, concepts and fundamental principles, the system and principles of material law, contractual and legal relations, Family and inheritance legal relations, Basic principles of labor law, principles of corporate law, as well as basic principles of civil proceedings, stages and features of civil proceedings in court;

Abilities:
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Laws program Student:
(B) identify legal issues based on knowledge of private, criminal or public law; Finds, explains and uses the normative bases for their solution;

Responsibility and autonomy
After completing the Bachelor of Laws program, the student:
(G) Recognizes the need for legal ethical standards; Respects the rights of individuals; Participates in the relevant legal process according to the ethical standards of the lawyer and taking into account justice, human rights, social and democratic values.
Areas of employment:
Graduates of the Bachelor of Laws program will have the opportunity to work in any position where a bachelor of law degree is required and it is not necessary to pass the state certification exam and / or additional preconditions provided by the legislation of Georgia.
A graduate of a Bachelor of Laws program in law may be employed in the field of law:
• In the legislative and executive branches of government;
• in judicial bodies;
• In law enforcement and other regulatory bodies;
• In legal entities of public and private law or other organizations.
